“A Samaritan woman came to draw water; Jesus said to her:
‘Give me a drink’…”
“If you only knew what God is offering,
and who it is who is saying to you: ‘Give me a drink’…” (John 4:7,10).

For this woman, this is an unexpected encounter, and a surprising request is made to her.
Such an encounter is always possible… always offered… an encounter with God –
because this is indeed what it is about.
It is enough to recognize him… and… to recognize ourselves as we are…
No need to be worthy – this is not what he expects.
What he asks for, what he is thirsty for, is simply to welcome him, also as he is!
Amazingly, God needs something that we can give him!
